Year-Round Adventure Park
Adventure doesn’t depend on the season at Șuior Cota 1000.
Throughout the year, the Adventure Park offers exciting activities for families, children and adrenaline seekers alike.
During winter, alongside a 130-metre beginner ski slope equipped with a modern magic carpet lift, visitors can enjoy a 150-metre tubing track, a 120-metre wave tubing course, and spectacular jumps onto the Big Air Bag. We provide the equipment and the perfect setting – you bring the excitement.
When summer arrives, the fun continues. The wave tubing track and Big Air Bag remain open, while younger visitors can enjoy a 21-metre inflatable obstacle course featuring climbing walls, slides and interactive challenges.
Paintball
Just a short walk from Șuior Cota 1000 Adventure Park, you’ll find our professionally designed paintball arena, featuring natural woodland cover and purpose-built obstacles that create exciting and dynamic game scenarios.
Whether you’re trying paintball for the first time or you’re already a fan of the sport, everything you need is provided – from professional equipment to safety briefing and game rules.
Challenge your friends – or even your boss – to a friendly battle where fun is the only winner. Afterwards, relax on the terrace with an ice-cold drink and relive the best moments of the game.
Paragliding
With Șuior Resort located at the foot of Mogoșa Peak (1,246 m), the area offers excellent conditions for paragliding enthusiasts.
The summit can be reached either via the chairlift serving the television station (operating on a limited schedule) or by taking the main chairlift from Șuior Bază to Cota 1000, followed by an easy 30-minute walk to the take-off area.
Thanks to its open terrain, Mogoșa Peak offers favourable launch conditions for most wind directions. Because of nearby power lines and lift infrastructure, solo flights are recommended only for experienced pilots.
Visitors looking for an unforgettable adventure can also enjoy tandem paragliding flights with licensed pilots, experiencing spectacular panoramic views of the Gutâi Mountains.

Explore the Gutâi Mountains
Located at the foot of the Gutâi Mountains, Șuior Resort is the ideal starting point for a wide variety of marked hiking trails suitable for every level of experience.
Experienced hikers can tackle routes leading to Mogoșa Peak (1,246 m), Secătura Peak (1,392 m), Creasta Cocoșului (1,394 m), Gutâi Peak (1,443 m), Gutâiul Mic and Igniș Peak (1,307 m).
For those seeking a gentler adventure, longer panoramic trails with gradual ascents offer the same spectacular destinations at a more relaxed pace.
The region’s well-marked paths pass through ancient forests, alpine meadows and crystal-clear mountain springs, revealing breathtaking views across Maramureș and the Eastern Carpathians.
On clear days, the panorama stretches as far as the Ukrainian Carpathians and the majestic Rodna Mountains, home to Pietrosul Peak (2,303 m)—the highest summit in Romania’s Eastern Carpathians.
Mountain Lakes
If you prefer a more leisurely walk, follow the contour trail towards the northern side of the Gutâi Massif, where you’ll discover two remarkable natural attractions.
Tăul Chendroaiei is a rare raised peat bog featuring two small lakes that are the last remains of a much larger glacial lake.
Further along the trail lies Tăul Morărenilor, a perfectly circular mountain lake situated at an altitude of 825 metres near the picturesque village of Breb. Surrounded by forest, this protected natural reserve is beautiful throughout the year, although autumn transforms it into one of the region’s most spectacular landscapes.
